Gregory Downs Camp Area is just outside of Gregory Downs in outback Queensland. Access to this free camp is just over the bridge from town along the road to Adels Grove. We had friends who stayed here for a few night and said it was a great spot beside the Gregory River - you can cool off in the water on a hot Queensland afternoon enjoying a beer. Gregory Downs Camp Area was relatively quiet when we drove past but apparently it is packed during the Paddle and Saddle races held during May.
