Charters Towers Markets

We just happened to be in Charters Towers on the fourth Sunday of the month and discovered that the Centenary Park Markets were being held. I love to look around local markets to find interesting homemade products. These markets were very good and lots of the stalls were full interesting homemade goodies – jams, clothes, leather products including whips etc. I purchased some lovely clothes for new babies in the family - unique items that I had never seen anywhere else.

Centenary Park Markets are held in Centenary Park (of course) - found at the intersection of the Lynd Highway (Gregory Developmental Road) and Hackett Terrace. These charity markets are well worth a visit if you are in Charter Towers at the right time. There are plenty of places to park the caravan in the wide streets near Centenary Park.
