We have stayed at this BIG4 caravan park in Charters Towers and recently took the opportunity to take some photos of the various cabins available within the Aussie Outback Oasis Cabin and Van Village.
The Family Cabin featured in the 360 degree photo is bright and welcoming. It has a separate bedroom with a queen bed as well as another room with two bunk beds to cater for four children. This cabin has a separate toilet which I think is great when travelling with a family – one person in the shower and one in the toilet – saves arguments. Plenty of space in the living area and a large covered verandah overlooking the barbeque and children’s playground.
Aussie Outback Oasis Cabin and Van Village has a studio cabin catering for those people travelling with a disability. It is located close to the entrance of the caravan park with a ramp leading from the car parking area to the front verandah. Open space to make moving around easy, and I noticed that the electronic key (to operate lights) is located low for easy access. The bathroom is big and open with a shower curtain (no glass doors to hamper access). This Studio cabin has three bunk beds for the children.
Studio family cabin is only small but has a double bunk plus a queen bed and is well equipped for a holiday with the children (or an overnight stay when travelling through Queensland). There is a small dining table inside and a larger one on the covered deck overlooking the pool and children's playground.
Most of the cabins are located near the entrance to the cabin and van village and these surround a grassed area with a covered barbeque and children’s playground. They are all located near the pool which is very good, surrounded by palm trees for shade. A large jumping pillow is located next to the reception area, and this is covered by a shade sail for protection from the heat of the day.
The Aussie Outback Oasis Cabin and Van Village is neat, tidy and welcoming - a great place for a family holiday in Charters Towers.
