Naninga Lookout is beside the Ayers Rock Campground in Yalara and is very conveniently located to allow campers and caravanners to look out over Uluru and Kata Tjuta (the Olgas). Access via boardwalks placed up the side of a large sand dune. It is hard to believe that Uluru is about 17 kilometres away and Kata Tjuta (the Olgas) are 50 kilometres away from the campground - they are huge features.
You are able to access the lookout at any time of the day and it is a great spot to watch the sun set over this magnificent landscape.
There were several thunderstorms around during our stay at Ayers Rock Resort which also meant some great photos. Unfortunately some idiot has ruined the binoculars by lodging a 5 cent coin over one of the eye pieces. I suggest you take your own binoculars and, of course, remember the camera.
