We stayed at the Ayers Rock Campground during our trip to Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park in the Northern Territory. This is very large with a huge number of powered and un-powered sites as well as cabins and coach camping areas.
We had a large powered caravan site with an area of vacant land behind us - plenty of space. We could drive through onto the site which was gravel and very flat. The roads around the campground are mostly dirt with gravel to keep the dust down. Some sites have slabs and vary in size. The amenities block are large and very clean and serviced at various times during the day so you always have access to toilet and shower facilities.
Some features of the Campground include:
The Naninga Lookout is just above the campground for great views of Uluru (Ayers Rock) at sunset - we even watched some amazing electrical storms lighting up the area one evening. The Campground is conveniently located for day trips to Uluru (Ayers Rock) and Kata Tjuta (The Olgas) and a pass will need to be purchased before enter the National Park.
Ayers Rock Resort has a free shuttle service that runs at regular intervals during the day and will transport guest to Town Square and other locations around Yulara.
