Uluru Cultural Centre - Uluru (Ayers Rock)

The Uluru Cultural Centre a is located on the road leading to Uluru (Ayers Rock) and is a great place to start your trip. They have information guides and maps of the various walks around this great rock. There are various displays at Cultural Centre to find out about the traditional owners and the natural environment - plants, animals and how Uluru was formed.

Facilities at the Cultural Centre include -

• gas barbeques
• cafe
• shops selling local artworks, souvenirs, snacks and drinks   
• free culture or nature presentations - 10.00 am weekdays
• ranger-guided Mala Walk at various times through the year (check at the centre) 
• large car parking area

You can also hire push bikes here for a ride around the base - there are water stations along the way to fill up drink bottles. 

The Cultural Centre is a must when visiting Uluru as you gain an appreciation of the importance of the area to the Australian Aboriginal.
