We came across Home Billabong Jetty when taking a walk around Cooinda Lodge. This Jetty is on the wetland along Jim Jim Creek and I understand it is used to launch boats during the wet season in order to reach Yellow Water Billabong.
The Jetty has beautiful views over the water but signs are everywhere warning of the danger of crocodiles in the area. We walked from Cooinda Lodge to Yellow water - the track was marked with pink arrows and takes you through the bush - I carried a big stick in case I came across a snake. The walk is quite shaded and interesting.
