Uncle's Tavern is a great place to eat in the middle of Alice Springs - located on Gregory Terrace and close to the shopping centre. They have daily specials which are very good and we ate here several times during our stay. Each time we had a delicious meal - steak, chicken schnitzel - both good size meals with plenty to eat. The menu has heaps to choose from if you don't wish to order the daily specials.
Lunch is served from 12 noon to 3 pm which is great for us as most places stop serving lunch at 2 pm and we are usually running late. Dinner menu is available from 6 pm to 9 pm. They have an inside lounge area and outside beer garden - you can eat in either place.
The service was very friendly and the meals were ready in no time. This place was busy every time we called in and there seemed to be a few regulars. We will definitely visit Uncle's Tavern when next in Alice Springs.
