Nambucca Heads is a popular holiday destination on the mid north coast of NSW about 510 kilometres north of Sydney. Wellington Rock sits on top of a rock platform at the southern of Shelly Beach surrounded by rock pools to explore.
We viewed Wellington Rock from the other side of the point at the end of the V-Wall. The V-Wall is a tourist attraction in Nambucca Heads - lined with colourful rocks where holiday makers have left memories and messages painted along the walkway - you can't miss it.
Looking from V-Wall you will see a rock platform with Wellington Rock jutting skyward from the centre. You can walk around the platform to Shelly Beach but caution must be taken at high tide.
