SUPing at Molonglo River - Canberra

While visiting Canberra on our recent caravanning trip, we decided to take the inflatable Fanatic SUP and explore the Molonglo River in the ACT. The Molonglo River flows into Lake Burley Griffin and there are a number of protected spots to launch the SUP in parkland beside Morsehead Drive - opposite Duntroon.

This inflatable Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP) is very light to carry which makes it easy to enter the water from the grassy banks. The River is lined with trees and there are various logs lying in the water - not a problem when on a SUP as you can easily see where you are headed and avoid any branches sitting just below the surface. It was great to be protected from the wind and we really enjoyed this relaxing paddle on the Molonglo.
