the Gilgai Tavern in Kalbarri is located on Porter Street, not far from the main road through town. The 'Tav', as it is known, is locally owned and operated with nice cold beer and meals available for lunch and dinner 7 days a week. They have half and full size serves of most meals and the prices are very reasonable.
There are plenty of car parking spaces around the tavern and it is within walking distance to several accommodation options in town. We stayed at the Murchison River Caravan Park only about 550 metres away - very convenient for a drink and dinner. The verandah has views of the Murchison River and the Indian Ocean - a comfortable spot to sit relax.
