Guilderton Caravan Park

Guilderton is a small town about one hours drive north of Perth and the Guilderton Caravan Park is located on the foreshore of the Moore River. We were surprised to find that a powered site was $45 per night which we thought was a bit expensive during November (apparently the high season at Guilderton Caravan Park runs from late September to early May). The amenities were good, and they close off a number of the showers during the day asking people to rinse off outside when they come up from the beach (fair enough). Water is restricted.

• fully enclosed camp kitchen
• sheltered BBQ's area with seating
• boom gate security
• ten self contained chalets - two bedrooms (sleep up to six) - note that guests must bring their own sheets, blankets, pillows, towels, bathmat, tea towels and, I had to laugh, wine glasses
• dump point

Guilderton Caravan Park is just metres from the Moore River Estuary and the beach which are perfect for swimming, fishing, canoeing and surfing. There are a number of walking trails throughout Guilderton - we headed up to the lookout with some great views of the beach and estuary. No pets are allowed at the park.
