Derby Waste Water Wetland can be accessed via Conway Street at the southern end of town. It was a little difficult to find as there are few sign posts - the road to the wetlands is full of pot holes. This spot was very smelly the day we visited - maybe the wind was blowing the wrong way.
This area was man made and there is an observation tower provided to view the variety of ducks, waders and other water birds that use this area. You can obtain a list of birds and direction from the Derby Visitor Information Centre.
