Just south of the Pardoo Roadhouse in Western Australia - between Broome and Port Hedland is the De Grey River Rest Area. Some of the rest areas in this part of the country are very large with plenty of space to stop for the night - no matter what size rig you have. This rest area is situated on the Great Northern Highway and allows a 24 hours stay. There are toilets (wheelchair access), shaded tables and a dump point - dogs are allowed.
It is located alongside the river which had water in it during our visit. I imagine the rest area could be quite muddy during the wet season, but otherwise looked like a convenient place to spend the night.
