We headed down to the Port of Broome to have a look around. This is a very busy place, with a deepwater port servicing Western Australia's Kimberley region - open 24 hours a day seven days a week. We saw a truck transport livestock along this very long wharf to a waiting ship. You will also see cruise liners, pearling boats, fishing boats etc. tied up at various times.
This is a very popular fishing spot, throwing a line from the walkway that runs the length of the wharf. It seems a very long way to the water - we were assured that the fishing was good from here.
There is a restaurant at the Wharf area and this is very popular in the evenings with outside tables overlooking Roebuck Bay.
