We saw Argyle Diamond Mine from the air when we took a scenic flight over the East Kimberley region with Kingfisher Tours. This was a great three hour trip over this north eastern part of Western Australia, and we were able to get an appreciation for how large this mining operation has been.
The Mine has been operating for over 30 years and is of course famous for pink diamonds. I understand that this is a fly in fly out (FIFO) site and we could see the accommodation villages from the air.
I would highly recommend a flight over this part of the Western Australia - magnificent.
