Freemans Knob is a headland at Port Elliott that looks over Horeshoe Bay and Encounter Bay towards Victor Harbor, about 85 kilometres south of Adelaide. A sealed walking track leads around the Knob and up to the viewing platforms equipped with telescopes and information plaques telling of shipwrecks off the coast.
There are beautiful views up and down the coast and then you can head into Port Elliot and past some great old stone buildings, little cottages and quaint shops in this lovely historic town. We headed up to Freemans Knob on the walking track from Horseshoe Bay after enjoying a lovely seafood lunch at the Flying Fish Cafe - highly recommended by RvTrips.
