The Millstream Falls are about 3.5 kilometres south west of Ravenshoe on the Kennedy Highway - turn left into the signposted entrance and follow the one kilometre road to the picnic area. Parking is available for long vehicles and there was enough space to turn while towing our caravan. We had been advised by the Ravenshoe Visitor Information Centre to travel back along the Kennedy Highway to view the falls before continuing our journey to Malanda - very pleased we took this advice.
Located with Millstream National Park, the big Millstream Falls is reputedly the widest single-drop waterfall in Australia and is quite spectacular. The viewing platform is only a short walk from the car park along a paved path. This is a beautiful spot and definitely worth a visit.
