GoWake Cable Park - Mackay

We just happened to drive past this great facility in Andergrove, Makay (Queensland) as we were sight-seeing in the area.  What a great facility for those wishing to learn the skills of wakeboarding and may not have a boat. GoWake Cable Park provides cable wakeboarding which is simply wakeboarding while being pulled  by an overhead cableski system. Apparently you can do all the tricks and jumps you can normally do (or try) while wakeboarding.

The park is open seven days a week during peak season and spectators are welcome. All cable tickets include a life jacket, helmet and use of Knee boards, basic wakeboards, and Skis - they even run clinics for beginners.

My son uses a similar facility in Sydney and find it a wonderful way to hone his skills without the need to get the boat on the water.
