Hampton is a small community north of Toowoomba in Queensland - about 31 kilometres along the New England Highway. After visiting the Toomwoomba Flower Festival we headed north towards Kingaroy and stopped at the Hampton Visitor Information Centre for lunch.
What a lovely spot with parking for the caravan in the shade alongside a park land with picnic tables and a children's playground. The Hampton Visitor Information Centre is housed in beautiful little cottage beside the park and has public toilets in an adjacent building. The taps for the hand basins on the verandah are knee operated - loved this idea.
Hampton has a tavern and general store and is gateway to a number of national parks
