Discovery Parks Airlie Beach (formerly BIG4 Airlie Cove Resort and Van Park) can be found on Shute Harbour Road - just past the township of Airlie Beach. We received a warm welcome from Michael, the Manager (at the time) who was happy to drive us around the park in a cart and show us the features of this lovely holiday destination.
The park has a very nice entrance with tropical gardens and planter boxes. The pool and water slide are near the reception area - across a foot bridge, surrounded by shade trees. A barbeue area is provided alongside the pool and even a pizza oven for guests to use.
We were shown several of the cabins accommodation options available at the Discovery Parks Airlie Beach. As you can see from the photos, all are clean and well appointed.
All of the cabins are in great condition with one car parking space provided for guests. There are plenty of activities for children with the pool at the front of the park and children's play equipment, basketball ring, jumping pillow and giant chess set at the rear of the park. There is even an amenities block near the Children's play area - as a mother I know how important this is when little ones cannot wait.
