Ryans Caravans was started by Peter & Luci Ryan in September 1975. It started as a caravan hire and transport business from small premises on the outskirts of Dubbo. The business was moved to premises to service the hire fleet in the back of North Dubbo in 1981. At this time there was a very small spare parts section with some service work. During late 1985 Ryans Caravans took on the Jayco product, moving again in 1990 to West Dubbo into bigger rented premises.
In July 1993 the business moved into a purpose built complex at 28 Depot Road, using only part of land and building. By 2002 the whole complex was taken over allowing for an indoor camper showroom and modern workshop. It wasn't long before the camper showroom was turned into a spare parts and accessories store.
In 2007 the building and land next door at 24 Depot Road was purchased for future expansion. By August 2010 the complex was expanded to incorporate all of next door. The camper showroom was moved again indoors, a new undercover delivery bay was completed, the former delivery bays now used for detailing and preparation. The display area was concreted and a holding area for newly delivered product.
