Singleton

Singleton is a NSW town located in the Hunter Valley and found on the New England Highway between Maitland and Musswellbrook. We have visited Singleton several times recently and have been pleasantly surprised at the renovated main street, great facilities and friendly locals.

Singleton has a huge swimming complex called Singleton Gym and Swim - amazing features including indoor pool, outdoor pool, child minding, weights room, aerobics classes, cafe, etc.  There are many walking and bike riding tracks around town and large sporting fields near the banks of the river.  

Some of the places we have visited in town:

• Singleton Heights Bakery - on the main street with a whole glass cabinet devoted to Gluten Free goods
• Worn Out Wares Café on the main highway.  Housed in an old building with a range of seating in covered areas scattered around the building and some even in the adjacent flower shop.  
• Diggers Club - Two locations
• visitor information centre - selling a range of local products
• Pokolbin - only a short drive away with vineyards, wineries, restaurants, breweries, distillery and, of course, chocolates.
• Broke - wonderful wineries and restaurants

Singleton has a large shopping centre with supermarkets, electrical, cafes, bakers, and everything you need. We look forward to heading back soon to further exploring this lovely area of NSW.
