Nundle Woollen Mill

A really interesting place to look through when you visit the small town of Nundle near Tamworth in NSW is the Nundle Woollen Mill. This is one of the last spinning mills still operating in Australia and mill tours are available - call and book. The Mill uses traditional spinning machinery with some of the pieces nearly 100 years old.  

The mill has almost 25,000 visitors each year who visit to see the antique machinery at work. Lots of beautiful woollen clothing for sale at the retail outlet at the Mill - both hand knits and Australian designer fashions - apparently the Nundle woolen socks are very popular.  They also sell a huge range of colourful wool to create something of your own.  Of course you can order products form Nundle Woollen mill online from their website  

This interesting old woollen mill is open seven days and has a lovely picnic area with children’s playground nearby.
