Lions Park at Burrill Lakes on the south coast of NSW is a great spot for families - located on the foreshore of Stony Creek/ Burrill Inlet. This park is accessed via Dolphin Point Road but during our visit the entrance closest to the bridge was closed due to road works. You can reach the park by walking under the bridge or taking the second roundabout from the Princes Highway onto Dolphin Point Road.
This is a very popular park with families as it provides plenty of shade, picnic tables, car parking spaces and access to shallow swimming areas created by sand spits near the entrance. The Lions Park also has a number of fishing spots within easy walking distance.
