Burrill Beach sits on the northern side of the inlet to Burrill Lake just south of Uladulla on the south coast of NSW. We viewed the beach from Dolphin Point and there a several signs warning of the dangerous rips in the waters leading to the Beach. Do not swim across but access the beach from the other side of the bridge.
I understand that walking tracks lead to the water over the dunes from the Holiday Haven Tourist Park (Burrill Lake Holiday Park). Be warned that this beach is potentially hazardous for swimming owing to the persistent rips and trough but I assume great for that morning walk..
The are potentially good Beach breaks for surfing - depending on conditions - but you will have to ask a local about this.
