The Gundagai District Services is located on the main street of Gundagai (Sheridan Street) and was just a short walking distance from our accommodation at Gundagai Tourist Park. After exploring the town we called into the Club for a pre-dinner drink and take-away Chinese meal - a beautiful combination satay. The drinks prices are reasonable and the Restaurant is called Parkview on Sheridan - open daily for lunch and dinner (Chinese and Australian meals).
Gundagai District Services Club has a large range of sporting facilities including, the 18 hole Bidgee Banks Golf Course, two bowling greens as well as artificial turf tennis courts, and squash courts for hire - amazing for a small country town. If you are staying for any length of time why not join the Club and support the community. They even have a range of function rooms available for parties, weddings etc.
Gundagai is situated on the Hume Highway about half way between Sydney and Melbourne - a great place to break the trip. We stayed at the Caravan Park but there are plenty of other accommodation options within a short walk of the Club. I would not hesitate to recommend visiting the Gundagai Services Club which has a relaxed country feel - welcoming and friendly.
