Elephant Cove is about 10 kilometres west of Denmark - turn onto William Bay Road from the South Coast Highway in Western Australia. It is located within William Bay National Park and is well worth the detour from the main road to see these huge granite boulders - of course one of these boulders looks like the shape of an Elephant.
Elephant Cove can be reached by following the staircase winding its way through the boulders and down to the beach. It was very windy the day we visited this area - the boulders seemed to be protecting the cove from the waves which made it safe for swimming. This is a very pretty spot and and seemed to be popular with visitors to the area.
You can get directions to Elephant Cove from Walpole or Denmark Visitor Information Centres. There is enough room in the car parking area to park when towing a caravan and the cove is just a short walk along the path.
