Lucky Bay is in the Cape Le Grand National Park near Esperance in Western Australia. It has the whitest sand I have seen which, squeaks when you walk along the beach. We visited Cape Le Grand National Park on a day trip from Esperance and there is plenty to see - roads are sealed and you can easily tow a caravan into the Park if you want to stay overnight.
There is a picturesque camping area overlooking Lucky Bay - I think these sites are available on a first in first served basis (no bookings taken) and there is a small fee for staying in the National Park. A coffee cart was on the beach the day we visited, so you can enjoy a cuppa while relaxing in this beautiful area. Lucky Bay is a great spot for swimming or fishing and if you are really lucky you will see a Kangaroo sitting on the sand.
