After arriving at the Painters Island Caravan Park we quickly set up the van and headed over the footbridge to find somewhere for lunch. The first place we came to was Cafe the PreVue - what a lovely spot. There are tables inside and out but we decided to eat inside at one of the window seats.
This is a lovely café near the centre of Wangaratta and seemed to be very popular with most tables occupied. Lunch consisted of a chicken schnitzel on focaccia (toasted) with lettuce, tomato and aoli. Beautiful and large enough for two to share. I had roasted vegetable focaccia with pesto, which was also very nice.
Coffee was a bit strong for my liking but very hot and arrived at the table soon after ordering. Water is delivered to the table as soon as down.
Service was very good and the staff friendly - I would not hesitate to return for another meal.
