Swan Hill Pioneer Settlement Village has a huge collection of historic equipment, machinery and household items housed in historic buildings - many of buildings have been relocated and restored. There are a number of activities during the day relating to the pioneer days and a spectacular sound and light show during the evening.
When you visit the village you can take a ride in a horse and carriage, a vintage car or on the river in the paddle steamer Pyap which was built 1896. The Pioneer Settlement is open every day of the year from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm (except Christmas Day and Boxing Day). This place is full of great exhibits and is extremely popular with school groups who can visit and learn about life in the olden days.
The ticket allows admission for two consecutive days so you can take your time and have a good look around. Another beautiful spot on the Murray River with a great story.
