Bogong is a small village found in the alpine region of Victoria - about 15 kilometres from the Mount Beauty Visitor Information Centre along Bogong High Plains Road. It was suggested that we stop at Bogong Jacks for morning tea and enjoy views over Lake Guy. We drove down to take a look but the café was closed and signs advertised that it was available for lease.
Took pictures of the lake – which is a nice spot to enjoy lunch under the trees near the car parking area. This is a very quiet location and I understand a good place to stay if you want to go bush walking or fishing in the lake. Just off Main Street is the hydro power station which also has tourist information.
