We stopped at Streaky Bay to spend the night on our way around the Eyre Peninsula. This is a lovely town with beautiful historic buildings, wide streets and plenty of places to go fishing. A number of outlets and restaurants around town showcase the local produce and we enjoyed several meals of fresh seafood. Check out the large replica shark at Stewart's Roadhouse and read about this amazing catch (take away fish and chips from this roadhouse is highly recommended as a great feed).
A large car park behind the main street caters for caravans and large rigs to enable visitors to walk around and explore the town. All the streets are wide and clean with the council providing plenty of seating around the foreshore to sit and enjoy the Bay.
