The Riversands Vineyards can be found along Wytes Road along the banks of the Balonne River - only about two minutes drive from St George. They say there is a 'bush story in every glass' and we enjoyed listening to Nada tell stories about the wines, ports and winemakers as we tasted some of the delicious drinks on offer. They grow the grapes here and they are processed at Stanthorpe.
Lovely shaded gardens to sit and enjoy cheese platter or scones or meal from the Garden Cafe while having a glass of Riversands lovely wine.
I thought the Chardonnay and Port were great and purchased a bottle of each. A very interesting place to visit while staying in St George - you can even order online after when you arrive home as there is only so much you can fit in the caravan.
