Hideaway Bay is a beautiful spot about 54 kilometres form Airlie Beach on the Whitsunday Coast of Queensland. Hideaway Bay and its sister town Dingo Beach are both quiet little locations that look perfect for a relaxing holiday. Great for fishing, snorkelling, boating or just exploring the islands off the coast.
What a beautiful spot - we had coffee at Montes Reef Resort which is older but in a great location. It was very calm on the day we visited this area and the ocean looked like a wonderful calm area to go paddle boarding. We looked at the private bungalow-style accommodation along the beach - very well equipped and comfortable.
We also called into look at Cape Gloucester Resort which is environmentally friendly and has a small number of cabins close to the beach. Make sure you check out the Oar Bar which is alongside the resort pool - a great collection of wooden oars. This is a very relaxing spot to have a meal or a pre-dinner drink - beautiful panoramic view over the water.
