When travelling along the Gregory Developmental Road towards Charters Towers we decided to turn off onto the Kennedy Developmental Road (Lynd Junction) and visit the Oasis Road Roadhouse in Conjuboy. I am not sure whether there is much more in Conjuboy apart from the Roadhouse but this is definitely worth a stop to visit the smallest bar in Australia - about 1.2 metres wide, just enough room for two people to stand side by side. This small watering hole in the middle of nowhere is open 7 days a week and of course we had to have a XXXX Gold.
The Oasis Roadhouse is very neat and tidy with caravan and camping areas out the back. We purchased some fuel and had a lovely chat to the friendly staff. What a great experience.
