Cardwell Beachcomber Motel & Tourist Park

During our recent trip down the Bruce Highway in Northern Queensland we called in to look around the Beachcomber Motel and Tourist Park on the beachfront in Cardwell.  This park is a member of Top parks and, as the name would suggest, has a range of accommodation options - ocean view villas, motel rooms, cabins as well as powered or un powered caravan and camping sites.

The caravan park looks very nice with lovely sites and a small pool area.  A restaurant at the front of the park overlooks the water for a relaxing drink or meal. Happy hour daily from 4:30 to 6 pm. A bike path runs along the foreshore with plenty of places to stop and enjoy the view – there are a number of interesting sculptures and information boards along this path.

Cardwell is renowned for its great fishing and crabbing - it is a boating paradise with miles of sheltered creeks and waterways to explore. This is the gateway to the world famous Hinchinbrook Island. The Beachcomber Motel and Tourist Park has a fish and boat cleaning area for convenience. Pets are allowed.

We would not hesitate to stay while visiting Cardwell during our next caravan adventure.
