Masons Café is a popular place to stop as you head towards Cape Tribulation on the far north coast of Queensland. They have a grocery store and bottle shop, Masons Cafe and access to a safe swimming hole in Thompson Creek.
Masons Cafe sell a range of burgers and you can even purchase a tasting plate to try several of the Australian variety - including crocodile. As the sign says "there are no crocodiles in the water, they are in our burgers'. The burgers looked huge.
Masons’s Swimming Hole is a short walk from the café and you can have a swim for $1 if you are not a customer of the cafe. Covered deck to enjoy your food and some grassed areas to sit and relax before and/or after your swim.
