BIG4 Adventure Whitsunday Resort - Cabins - Airlie Beach

Airlie Beach BIG4 Adventure Whitsunday Resort is located on Shute Harbour Road as you head towards Airlie Beach from Proserpine. We were greeted by Tania who is the Market Manager and she used the frog cart to show us around this magnificent park

This resort has everything you would need for a family holiday. There are a huge range of villas, cottages and cabins to choose from - each with a shaded parking space alongside (most long enough to park a car and a boat). These are beautifully appointed and decorated - a policy of the McKinnon family (owners) is to update cabins on a regular basis. They even have a multi purpose function space called the Palm Room which is used for conferences, weddings, family reunions etc.  

We were shown several cabins as displayed in the photos:

• Poolview Condo - three bedroom, two bathroom luxury accommodation with a great kitchen and large verandah with its own barbeque. This condo was being prepared for a wedding party to occupy and was immaculately clean - what a great space for the bridal party to get ready.
• Holiday Cottage - this is a two bedroom cottage that can sleep up to six - queen bed and 2 double bunks.  Again beautifully clean and private.
• Deluxe studio cabin - this open plan design with queen bed and double bunk in the same room.  A cabin in the older part of the park close to Reception that has been tastefully renovated 

The BIG4 Adventure Whitsunday Resort is always busy and has a large range of caravan and camping sites - most separated by tropical gardens for privacy. They even provide a storage area at the rear of the park for cars and or caravans when visitors want to spend a few days boating around the Whitsundays or staying on Hamilton Island. The facilities are numerous and this park is one that has to be seen to be believed.  It is especially busy during holiday season so make sure you ring ahead.
