Rainbow Springs Thermal Pool - Mataranka

We highly recommend a visit to the Rainbow Springs Thermal Pool near Mataranka whenever you are travelling in the Northern Territory. The warm water rich in minerals comes from underground springs. The temperature is constant with millions of litres passing through the pool every day.

There are handrails to get in and out of this warm water as the steps can sometimes become slippery. We sat in the water at least twice a day for a about an hour and just relaxed. I would definitely like to go back.
