Mataranka Homestead Tourist Resort has a great outdoor restaurant which is extremely popular during the winter months. We enjoyed several meals here including their Sunday night roast special - great feed. There was nightly entertainment and this is enjoyed in a relaxing outdoor setting. We saw an incredible whip cracking demonstration featured during the musical act.
You can get your fishing supplies from the reception area if you want to try your luck in the nearby river. This Tourist Resort is a short walk to the Rainbow Springs Thermal pool and I highly recommend you stop by for a dip in the beautiful warm water.
A replica of the Homestead featured in the movie "We of the Never Never" is located beside the main car park of the Mataranka Homestead Tourist Resort.
