Kings Canyon Resort Sunset Walk

Kings Canyon Resort is set in a beautiful location within the Watarrka National Park in the Northern Territory. We travelled here in our caravan to spend the night and enjoy this magnificent canyon with sheer rock faces.

The Resort management have created a couple of walks to view the Kings Canyon Range - one of these called the Sunset Walk. A walkway consisting of rubber matting laid over the sand dunes which leads you from the reception area to an elevated boardwalk then onto the sunset viewing platform. This walkway also leads to and from the camping ground.

The reception staff can provide information on sunset times and we found this to be a very popular spot at the end of the day. Many people arrived at the lovely view area with a glass of wine or beer to enjoy their pre-dinner drink while watch the changing colour of the rock as the sun went down. Seats are provided.
