I would highly recommend that you make the effort to drive up to Woolgoolga Headland when you next visit this small town on the NSW Coast - just north of Coffs Harbour. We had stopped at Woolgoolga on many occasions when travelling north but this was the first time we drove up Ocean Street to take in the wonderful views.
We even visited while towing the caravan which was an interesting experience. The whales were heading south and Woolgoolga Headland has several excellent parking spots to sit and enjoy the antics of these amazing creatures. Of course it can be very windy so take care when opening the car door.
