Lake Ginninderra is an artificial lake located on the Ginninderra Creek in Canberra. It is adjacent to the Belconnen Town Centre and has a number of facilities which make it popular for visitors to the parkland surrounding the lake.
We spent an afternoon at Lake Ginninderra during our last visit to Canberra and enjoyed a picnic at one of the many shaded tables scattered along the foreshore. There are various parking spots as well as public toilets, children's playgrounds, walking/cycling tracks, netted swimming areas and plenty of grassy spots for family gatherings.
Lake Ginninderra is also popular with those wanting to paddle on the water and we explored the lake's edge on the Fanatic Stand Up Paddleboard. What a great way to spend the afternoon.
