Walpole is a lovely little place in the southern part of Western Australia, located alongside the Walpole-Nornalup National Park and the Walpole-Nornalup Inlet. Walpole is only a short distance to the Valley of the Giants and the Tree Top Walk - an amazing construction allowing visitors to walk around the top of the trees.
The drive from Manjimup to Walpoe was beautiful through forests of very tall trees, Karri, red tingle and large gums. The road is a bit narrow but the scenery makes the trip worthwhile.
The Visitor Information Centre is located in town on the main road next to the Pioneer Cottage. Plenty of car parking available beside the Visitors Centre and lovely shaded spots to enjoy morning or afternoon tea. We found the staff at the Visitor Information Centre very helpful and there were lots of interesting little gifts for sale.
We stayed at the Coalmine Beach Caravan Park which is on the shores of Walpole Inlet - in a beautiful natural setting with large sites.
