Shotover Sunset Cruises operate from Monkey Mia in Shark Bay Western Australia. As part of the deal with our purchase of tickets on the Shotover Wildlife Cruise (Origin of the Mermaid Myth) was a free Sunset Cruise which departs from the Monkey Mia Jetty at about 5:30 each evening. This cruise is BYO so you can enjoy a glass of wine or beer while watching the sun do down over Monkey Mia and Francois Peron National Park.

We were able to take this tour on a different day to our Wildlife adventure Cruise which was great. The Shotover is an 18-metre ocean racing catamaran which has on-board toilets and plenty of seating to relax and enjoy the smooth sailing on Shark Bay. This is a beautiful way to end a wonderful day spent exploring the Shark Bay World Heritage Area, plus we took same great photos of the magic colours created by a Monkey Mia sunset.

The Crew are friendly and welcoming and RvTrips would highly recommend this adventure.

We chose this cruise as it came with a free sunset cruise. The sunset cruise I really enjoyed. The colours are amazing and it is very relaxing having a few drinks on the water. The day cruise was OK, we saw some animals. I would have enjoyed the cruise more if there was some commentary about the history of the area, or the animals we were trying to spot.
