Kooljaman is a wilderness camp on the tip of the Dampier Peninsular at the top of Western Australia. We called in here for lunch during our day trip to the Horizontal Falls.
The fresh Barramundi lunch was perfect and the restaurant overlooks the bright blue ocean - dining on the covered balcony with a beautiful sea breeze. The camp sites at Kooljaman are set among bush and close to the beaches to enjoy snorkelling, swimming or fishing. There appears to be a number of accommodation options and the local Aboriginal communities offer a variety of bush experiences.
The road to Kooljaman is very sandy and quite rough so allow plenty of time to reach this beautiful part of Australia when driving from Broome.
