Esperance is a town in the Goldfields-Esperance region of Western Australia, on the Southern Ocean coastline approximately 720 kilometres (450 mi) east-southeast of the state capital, Perth. Esperance is a beautiful spot to visit and we spent a couple of days here during our trip around Australia - not nearly enough time to see all there is to offer in this beautiful part of the country. Our first stop (as usual) was the Visitor Information Centre which is located in a beautiful historical village in the middle of town.
The Esplanade has some great walking tracks along the foreshore, plenty of seating and really lovely picnic spots. It was very windy while we were there but we still managed to enjoy our lunch overlooking the water. This foreshore area of Esperance has recently been re-vamped and we found that there were plenty of things to see and do.
