Hansen Bay Lookout - Cervantes

Just a short drive (along a dirt road) from Cervantes is Hansen Bay Lookout.  Drive along Hansen Bay Road past the turn off to Lake Thetis (Stromatalites) and you will come to a carparking area and stairs leading up to the lookout. This is well worth the climb as the Hansen Bay Lookout gives you a panoramic view of Hansen Bay, surrounding islands, Lake Thetis and the Cervantes.

Take a look at the photo of a lovely small orchid growing at the base of the stairs- just beautiful. This area is full of wildflowers at certain times of the year. Apparently the sunset is magnificent from Hansen Bay Lookout - remember to take your camera.
