BIG4 Porepunkah Holiday Park

BIG4 Porepunkah Holiday Park is located on the Wangaratta (Myrtleford) side of Porepunkah as you drive along the Great Alpine Road in Victoria.  This is the closest town to Mount Buffalo National Park. 

This BIG4 park offers plenty of space and a wonderful welcome from Sandra, one of the owners of this family friendly holiday park.  

Each of the cabins we saw had a private barbeque alongside and plenty of car parking space. There is a lovely swimming pool area (partly shaded) with a variety of coloured chairs to sit and relax while watching the children - even a range of coloured children's chairs. The jumping pillow was very popular with the kids on school holidays and a range of coloured play equipment for little ones was available in a shaded, grassed area.

The park has a games room and an outdoor table tennis table plus several sheltered barbeque areas. There are plenty of trees providing shaded areas for campers. We had a nice sized powered caravan site with a slab. All the sites appeared to have plenty of space and room to park at least one car.
 
There are a  number of permanent vans for seasonal stays and these are neat and tidy, situated in one area of the grounds. There are various cabins available around this large caravan park as well as a two bedroom family holiday cottage which is filled with those little extras to make your stay special and relaxing.

BIG4 Porepunkah Holiday Park has a few ensuite sites which we have discovered are very useful for those travelling with a partner that may need assistance in the bathroom.  The amenities are very clean and spacious with the added personal touch of flowers in vases on the bench - always bright and cheerful.

Sandra has even placed some toys beside the baby change table in the laundry area to keep the little ones happy. She is a lovely host with a great knowledge of the local area. This is a welcoming place to stay.
